Biography

Carol Alt was born December 1, 1960, in Long Island, New York, as the third of four children to parents Anthony and Muriel. Her father was in the military and served as a New York City fire chief and her mother also worked as a model at one time.

Carol was discovered waiting tables during her freshman year at Hofstra University, where she embarked on an academic path that she hoped would lead to law school. Soon after she was scouted, Carol dropped out of school, moved to Manhattan and signed with the famed Elite Agency, where she became one of the most successful fashion models of all-time.

Carol appeared in the first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit video. and was a corporate pitchwoman for products from companies such as Cover Girl, Hanes, Virginia Slims, and others.

She has appeared in more than 45 films in Europe alone, the majority of which have been created and released in Italy.

In North America, Carol has had roles in a number of television productions and Hollywood pictures. In her spare time, Carol Alt stays active by riding horses, playing basketball and golf, singing, driving racecars, traveling. She is divorced from former professional hockey player Ron Greschner and is in a relationship at the present time with NHL superstar Alexei Yashin.
